Our History

The Association of Producers APASEM Foods was born from the integration of leading producers of ginger, turmeric, coffee and cocoa in the province of Chanchamayo and Satipo in the central jungle of Peru, in search of diversification and productive sustainability, currently it is made up of 104 producers of Ginger (172 Ha) and 10 turmeric producers (15 ha), made up of native communities and settlers working with standards of good agricultural and manufacturing practices in all our processes in balance with our environment, through crop rotation, reforestation and with a focus on the social development of our peoples.

The safety and quality of our products is guaranteed in all our prices, since we have a professional team in the process plant, field and with producers committed to organic agriculture. APASEM has Organic (EU, Canada Organic, USDA Organic.), GLOBALGAP and GRASP certifications.

Ensuring fair treatment of ginger producers in organic agriculture involves prioritizing environmentally sustainable practices, such as abstaining from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. It encompasses promoting soil health, biodiversity conservation, and organic certification processes that recognize and reward the efforts of farmers committed to ecologically responsible cultivation methods.
